Solve Hub is excited to announce its partnership with Code College, a developer training institution based in Gauteng.
Solve Hub provides a framework for contributors to create solutions and businesses that address impact challenges in Africa. We look forward to offering Code College students and graduates opportunities to develop their skills through our hackathons. We will also provide a lecture on alternate strategies to stand out to employers.
The history of Code College dates back over 20 years to when Arnold Graaff established GetCertified IT Training. In 2014, GetCertfied evolved into Code College as the programs became more focused on developer training. Code College’s bootcamps are designed to bridge the skills gap that IT managers face when hiring juniors.
Code College firmly believes that true learning comes from experience, not just information. Positioning themselves as a non-Academic College, they take a practical approach to learning, emphasising 'collaborative learning strategies.’ Their instructors are highly qualified professionals from the IT industry, skilled in both technical and teaching aspects. Code College leverages its deep industry knowledge to ensure graduates possess employment-ready skills upon completing one of their bootcamps. Partnered with
Compuways, Code College supports graduates until they secure employment.
The bootcamps, ranging from 3 to 12 months, are offered online and in-person. They cater to individuals at any programming skill level, from complete beginners to seasoned developers looking to advance their skills. Additionally, Code College offers short courses for professionals and a coding program for kids. Recognising that not everyone has equal access to funding, Code College provides multiple payment plans and assists students in applying for long-term student loans through their partners. They also offer an income share agreement to qualifying students, allowing them to pay off the course cost once they start working
